Fred Morguelan

Having served in the U.S. Military, Fred Morguelan knows a thing or two about hard work and dedication.

Having served as the Coordinator of the Disaster Mental Health Team for the American Red Cross during the 911 Crisis, Fred received the Marion Silberman award for his service. He is also the recipient of the “Legacy Award” from the Santa Barbara County Psychological Association for his work as President and Board Member for over 8 years.

Fred has a Doctor of Philosophy (P.h.D.) from the University of Southern California and a Master of Arts in Psychology from California State University, a Community College Teaching Certificate from the California Community College District’s Board of Governors, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Louisville. Throughout his career, Fred has served as a Faculty Member at the University of Southern California for eight years and the University of California at Los Angeles for two years. During his time at UCLA, Fred was a Clinical Instructor at the David Geffen School of Medicine.

Fred has served as a Member on the Board of National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology, Santa Barbara County Psychological Association, California Psychological Association, LA County Psychological Association, California Society of Industrial Medicine, and the Division of Workers Compensation – Qualified Medical.

Now, Fred Morguelan has turned his attention to his work as a Certified Life Coach and an “Aging Life Care Specialist”. Drawing upon his 30 years of experience as a Marriage Family Therapist and a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, Fred is passionate about helping people live fully alive.

Dr. Morguelan has a keen interest in all things related to “Work” and has distilled the wisdom of thousands of hours spent with his patients regarding work. This work is currently being codified in a book about work and critical things workers must know to survive today. For Fred, his work is ultimately about helping people. His legacy, one characterized by hard work, sacrifice, and love, will last for many years to come, and the people he has impacted are living examples of the power of understanding, compassion, and excellence.
